I started riding in 1968 on a 3-1/2 hp, rigid chopper mini bike that Dad built. For a nine year old kid in that time period it was one way cool ride. That was the spark that ignited the flame I have for riding and it continues today. I ride daily and am always looking forward to my next over the road trip.

My first exposure to the Buell name was while leafing through a motorcycle book in 1990 at a friends house. The Buell it had featured was none other than the RR1000. My first in person look at a Buell was in 1993 at Gene Lumis HD in Black Mt, NC. I had just purchased a new XL1200 so it took me 4 years to convince my wife I "NEEDED" the Buell. It has snowballed into a garage full of Buells since the first one, my favorite by far being the S2.

Other than my obvious obsession with Buells I lead a pretty normal, rural midwestern life. I'm a parts manager at an automotive service center. My wife, Kim, and I have been married for nearly 24 years. We have two great kids. We have lived in the same small house in the middle of "flat as hell" Indiana for 22 years.
