My grinning face during my first (day of) test rides at York.
I was born and raised in Denmark. Moved to New York City in 1992, and have lived here ever since.

I started riding mopeds as a kid and had great fun trying to bump up performance and dirt riding on construction sites in the neighborhood. I got my MC licence during my time in the Military Police. We were riding de-tuned BSA singles (what a piece of crap) and each of us had two bikes assigned to make sure we had something that ran... I enjoyed riding, but a couple of crashes convinced me, that getting my own (more powerful) bike ought to wait until I could control that odd "twitch" I always seemed to get in my right wrist when I was riding.

Before moving to New York I had a short stint on a Japanese brand HD wanna-be, but immediately upgraded to '82 rubbermounted Shovelhead Lowrider after my move. In search of more performance I traded it in for a '92 Evo Lowrider, but handling and performance, even after $$$$ worth of upgrades, still wasn't what I'd hoped for. So when a friend suggested trying out the Buells I jumped right in. After a full day of test riding at the York Open House in 1998, I went straight home and put down a deposit on a '98 S3T. I have later added a beautiful Parkway Blue '96 S2T to the stable.

I live in Brooklyn with my girlfriend of many years, Melissa, and work in a hospital producing instructional videos for orthopaedic surgeons.
