Team Manager Court Canfield

Like the rest of the team, Court was drawn to the magic of Buell by a powerful passion. While attending the Sacramento Mile in 1988 he laid eyes on one of the first RR-1000's. The next week Court was landing in Milwaukee, renting a car and searching for a quanset hut hidden in the hills of Wisconsin.

The rest of the day was spent with Erik, the two daughters he was daddy-sitting and Court talking, dreaming and sharing a passion that required doing something that came as much from the heart as from a drafting table.

In 1995, when the Buell was pretty much unheard of, Court reponded to a "they are the sweepings off the Harley-Davidson factory floor" taunt by challenging another rider to prove his point in the real world. Court showed up at the meeting place on July 5th the other rider never showed. In the 31 days that following Court took a leisurely lap around the United States doing a "Live from Aboard a Buell" radio call in program 3 days a week, arriving in San Diego for the unveiling on the first S-1, giving hundreds of "unofficial" demo rides and zig-zagging to meet enthusiasts in places ranging from the Poconos, Blue Ridge Parkway, Palomar Mountain, Laguna Seca, Mt. Saint Helens and the backroads of Wyoming.

Since that ride Court's involvement in "things Buell" has escalated and his excitement will be a driving force as this group, representing enthusiasts around the world who share the passion of being bitten by the Buell Bug, pursues the Land Speed Record aboard the gifted Erik Buell created RR-1000.
