So, we get to the Salt at 7am and brought the bike to tech and to sign up for the MPS-PF.

Brought the bike back to the pit for a last look-over before the first run.

By now everyone has found their spot on the team....

and loading the bike goes like clockwork.

.. it's a very windy morning, and Richard has been counter steering and weaving the bike all the way down the track. He even felt it slip sideways when he reached the saddle in the mountains around the 2 Mile marker.

Bike goes back on the trailer, and we head for the timing tent...

For the return run the conditions were the same - windy...

.. but Richard is Mr. Consistency himself, and did it again.

Load the bike (now you know how we became so good at the loading/unloading procedure.)

 and our visit to the nice Mr. Timing Man netted us a return run of 158.598 MPH.
